London Part 2

Well this time I had the opportunity to help Oxfam in raising fund for charity. It was more like a rag-raiding event held by Durham student union and we were all dressed up in animal onsies. We had fun and on top of that, my friends and I get to visit a few more awesome places!
[Pst/ London in autumn 2012]
There was a classic-car event held in Piccadilly circus:
Beautiful, aren't they?
And we went to the M&M's 4-storey mega huge store:
Oh, we also went to the Victoria & Albert museum. Pity i didnt take any pictures, but its worth the go, especially if you're into fashion and art.
And just 3 minutes walk away from V&A museum is this beautifully decorated restaurant, serving a fushion of italian french and mediterranean food.
Well, the above picture was even up on my fb's cover page!
There's also this place in bond street, named st christopher's place. If you like to sit and chill with your friends in a bar or cafe, then this place is for you! There's a whole street of bars, cafes and restaurants for you the choose from.
London is simply an awesome place for retail and food therapy! Oh and not forgetting, sight-seeing tooo!
10 years from now, who will be better?

"Someday, we will run into each other again, I know it. Maybe I'll be older and smarter and just plain better. If that happens, that's when I deserve you. But now, at this moment, you can't hook your boat to mine, because I'm liable to sink us both." - Gabrielle Zevin, Memoirs of a Teenage AmnesiacAbove quote was extracted from tumblr. Saw it on my tumblr newsfeed and felt that it was highly relevant to me and probably to many other people out there. How many times have relationships failed because one party felt inferior/less capable than the other?

My personal favourite town to visit is definitely York. Yes, it is nearer to where I stay. But besides that, York offers many small little unique and authentic shops that you can hardly find in other towns/cities. And I must say that York is at its best in Summer!
Below are some of the pictures ive taken in York last summer (2012). The whole town is so beautiful, you can snap a picturesque from your phone/camera effortlessly.
This is taken from the park. Gosh, I wish time would speed up and its back to summer again.
York river.
Bettys tea room is known for its 3-tiered high tea set, marvellous and delicious desserts.
York has 2 Betty's cafe in York:
#1 6-8 St. Helens Sq, York YO1 8QP
#2 46 Stonegate, York, North Yorkshire YO1 8AS (Pst/ I frequent this as it is smaller and the ambience is perfect!)
The address for Betty's in Harrogate (which was their flagship store):
1 Parliament Street, Harrogate, North Yorkshire HG1 2QU
Awesome much?
This is the york minister. It is really worth paying the entrance fee to look inside. It is really spectacular!
And well, I walked the 274 steps up in York Minister and find myself seeing this awe-striking view. (This picture was taken in autumn/winter'12. hence it is less sunny and less lushy-green)
And in almost every town/city/county, there is definitely a castle. And so is York. Above is a picture of the York Castle, against the azure-partially cloudy sky.
I'm Back!

Im sorry for neglecting this space for quite a while.
So anyway, if you are considering to travel around UK, then do consider the yorkshire region like whitby and scarborough. It is a nice and peaceful area. (Look out on my next post on York)
Easter 2012 Whitby & Scarborough, UK
Scarborough Castle
Scarborough Habor
This is one awesome-magnificent drink. The banarama (as stated in their menu). It consists of vanilla ice cream, together with nuts fan wafer and mint and lastly, coated with banana! This is located at the harbor bar
It has a very American style interior, which i personally like it as it matches the sea view very well.

In the midst of my exams
Friday, May 4, 2012, ϟ 0 shout(s)
Argh, i dislike studying for exams when i have so many other alternatives such as watching online movies, online shopping or blogging. And i know that i cant complain much because when im out of the academic cycle, the work routine cycle is even more vicious and tiring. Buuuuuuuuut, who likes studying intensively everyday!? Sleeping at 5am, surviving on only 1 meal per day along with a whole bunch of snacks and chocolates, this routine has taken a toll on my face. Pimple outbreaks are all over my face, not to mention an additional eye-bag on top of my permanent dark circles.
Sigh.
Im so gonna party right after exams. Sucks to stay in my room everyday:(
And, cons of studying abroad- away from home? Well, there's no mummy or daddy to cook delicious meal or brewing tonics or making hot coffee for you through your exam period.:(

Places to go in London

Places that i will recommend you guys to visit:
1. Fortnum & Mason
Well, it is a shopping centre, similar to that of Harrods. But the difference is the products which they offer. They are known for their amazing quality of teas- ranging from black teas, to white teas and red teas. Personally, I love their earl grey and chamomile tea the most.
Check out the royal highness' visit to Fortnum & Mason
Location:
181 Piccadilly, London W1A 1ER
2. Borough Market
It is a saturday market which sells foods of all kinds.
![]() |
Their spread of fruit juices are just amazing. Oh and not forgetting Pimm's! |
The various exotic meat that they offer. (Crocodile, reindeer, zebra, kangaroo etc) Well, I was too afraid to try them. But for all you curious people out there, this is for you! |
Below are some snapshot of a cheesy dish that we got. It was fabulous!
![]() |
Eclair is simply one of my favourite snacks/desserts |
![]() |
Maracoons! |
This is th awesome duck sandwich.
The yummy thai green curry.
Do check it out if you havent!
Nearest tube station: London bridge
But i think the stuff that they sell varies according to the season.
Last winter was all vintage and antique stuff (from clothing to accessories and lots more!),
but this easter it was all food!
The vintage bible. Gosh, have you ever seen such a huge and ancient bible before? Amazing!
Saucers dating as old as in the 1700s
4. Po Cha Restaurant
I went there twice and their service and food quality never fail me. The staff were all koreans (based on my visits) and I absolutely love their starters, especially their beansprouts and seaweed starters! (Y)
Location: Tottenham Court Road tube station, 56 St Giles High Street, WC2H 8LH
5.
For all you Christians out there, you may want to check out the ever-renown Hillsong Church London
Location: Tottenham Court Road tube station, The Dominion Theatre 268- 269, W1T 7AQ
Pst/ it is very close to Po Cha Restaurant!
6. Laduree
Yes, Laduree for its macaroons! I did get to dine in as well for its high tea. For students like me, who love to enjoy high tea but with a tighter budget, Laduree is a better option for me compared to Fortnum&Mason.
#1. @Covent Garden: 1, The Market Covent Garden, WC2E 8RA
#2. @Harrods: 87/135 Brompton Road, SW1X 7X
7. My Big Fat Greek
This restaurant serves Greek cuisine. The food they serve is excellent and is in abundance.
Location: 16 Elephant and Castle
Madam Tussaud, Hyde Park and the Trafalgar's Square. They are the classic icons of London.
Pst/ look out on my next few posts on London part 2!

What is devil/satan/demon?
As i am exploring, finding out more about it, shocking news comes out of it. Perhaps i never knew it hence was baffled by it. However the news is, top celebrities in Hollywood like Lady GaGa, Beyonce and Jayz are seen and have admitted to be worshipping the devils. The ex and the current president of the US, Bush and Obama, are seen posing similar devil hand signs.
The horn sign: The classic hand pose where you stick out your index and pinky finger. Well, you'll probably see this often while partying with your friends. But as you can see from the image above, it actually represents the devil. And you'd probably ask, why the horn sign. The devil uses the goat as a sign of mockery towards Jesus (the shepherd). And, technically, Satan is supposedly a human being (Lucifer), hence the half goat and half human body image.

What does Satan want?
Anti-Christ, take control and power throughout the world. It is simply a revenge from Lucifer.
Brief background story of Lucifer in mainstream context:
He was a gifted angel- a worship leader leading the worship in heaven -just like on earth, everyone are listening to Hillsong's songs- Lucifer was pleased by the given attention as everyone were so crazy in his songs. The attention he had was so overwhelming that Lucifer decided instead of worshiping God, he wanted everyone to worship him instead. God the Father was disappointed to know this fact, especially since He gave Lucifer this special gift in singing, and had him expelled from heaven down to hell. That is the story of the fallen angel.
Lucifer/Satan wants instant fame and power. As mentioned earlier, Hollywood celebrities wanted instant fame so gave their soul to the satan and in return, rise in social and media presence. Well, this is just my opinion. But dont you realise the derogatory in music videos? They became so sensual and dark, and those lyrics just dont make sense. For instance, define the classic "rah rah ah ah ah" from Bad Romance. In my terms, and based on my research, the singer was actually performing a ritual to the satan. If you watch the music video, you would have noticed how she crawled out from a modernized coffin (with an inverted cross label), how she was being thrown and pushed around by others, and how the MV ended with her lying on the bed with two goat statue on the wall. Her "i want your bad romance" referred to her love with the satan.
Typing this post brings shudder down my spine.
They must no longer offer any of their sacrifices to the goat idols[a] to whom they prostitute themselves. This is to be a lasting ordinance for them and for the generations to come. -Leviticus 17:7 (NIV)
